Privacy Policy

focuss is built to help you focus, not to watch you. This policy explains what we touch, why, and what we never do.
Your data stays on your device
Profiles, lock sessions, impulse attempt counts, streaks and analytics are stored locally on your device. We do not run accounts, and we do not upload your usage history to our servers.
iOS: Screen Time (FamilyControls)
- We use Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings and DeviceActivity frameworks only to apply the shields you choose during a focus session.
- App selections are opaque tokens provided by Apple. We cannot see app names, browsing history or content.
- Screen Time data never leaves your device and is never used for advertising.
Android: Accessibility & Usage Access
- The Accessibility Service is used for one purpose: detecting when a shielded app comes to the foreground so the shield screen can be shown.
- We do not read screen content, keystrokes, passwords or messages.
- Usage Access (UsageStats) is used to compute your reclaimed-time analytics on device.
- You can revoke either permission at any time in Android Settings.
Accountability partner
If you add a partner, only their name and the contact you enter are stored, on your device. Unlock requests contain the reason you type and nothing else.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent or share your data.
- No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No collection of data from children under 13.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes everything. There is nothing on our side to delete.
